Saturday, March 29 Psalm 118:6
With the Lord on my side I do not fear. What can mortals do to me?
WITH GOD ON OUR SIDE, WE ARE STRONG
Psalm 118:6 is a beautiful reminder of God`s attentiveness to our cries for help.
God is always there for us, no matter how deep the trouble may be. When he wrote this, King David was in a moment of distress, along with everyone around him. Instead of giving up, he called out to God.
The act of calling for help means trust and hope that God is listening. With God on our side, what can`t we do?
The verse reassures us that God hears us, which symbolizes his holy presence. Our cries for help are not ignored; God hears us. This means that God hears us no matter how alone or desperate we feel. He always listens and responds.
It is comforting to know that we are never alone, and we can always turn to God when we are troubled.
Loving God, Thank you for always listening to me. With you, I have nothing to fear. Amen
