Be not afraid! Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father`s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

DON`T BE AFRAID. GIVE!

It has been an unusual winter with the beginning of January giving Kansas below-freezing temperatures with rain followed by snow, making transportation treacherous.

Dangerous weather blanketed the country. People were in danger everywhere, from 10 inches of snow in New Orleans to severe winds and fires in California. Most of the nation experienced below-freezing temperatures. It made everyone aware of the need to assist their neighbor.

The verse above was followed by this: “Sell your possessions, and give alms; for where your treasure is there will your heart be also.”

To whom should we give our alms? We are very active in giving as a group or a part of a group. Are we as giving as individuals?

Be not afraid!

Lord, we ask you to open our hearts and our pocketbooks to meet the needs of friends, neighbors and those we don`t know who are in need. Amen
