Wednesday March 25, 2026 — Psalm 16:8

I keep the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

GOD IS WITH ME

This verse reminds me that God is always with me no matter where I am or what season I am in. Whether I am at my lowest or my highest, he is right there watching over me and guiding me. I am never alone even when it feels like I am. God is my leader and I try my best to be a loyal follower, trusting that he knows where I am going even when I do not. My relationship with him is not something that breaks easily because it does not depend on my perfection. It depends on his faithfulness. He will never walk away from me even when I struggle or mess up.

This is something I think about a lot before wrestling matches. Wrestling can be intense and stressful. There is pressure to win, fear of losing and nerves that hit right before stepping on the mat. Before some matches I say a short prayer to remind myself that no matter what happens, win or lose, it is all for the glory of God. That prayer helps me let go of fear. It reminds me that my value is not tied to the scoreboard or someone else’s opinion. God is still with me whether my hand is raised or not.

When I remember that God is always with me, it changes how I face challenges. I feel less afraid of failure and more confident in knowing that whatever happens God is still there. Keeping my eyes on him does not mean that life gets easier, but it does mean I do not have to face it alone. And that is enough to keep me going one step, one match and one day at a time.

Thank you, Lord, for allowing me to experience your guidance. Thanks for being at my side as I am by yours.
