This is a congregational caring and healing ministry – to promote health and wellness in body, mind, and spirit. Parish nurses visit the sick, give spiritual support for those with health concerns or those who are grieving, and may serve as health counselors or educators. We do blood pressure checks at church on the first and third Sundays of each month and at the BTOL monthly meetings. We also have scheduled Red Cross Blood Drives at church. After 14 years of faithful service to Reformation as a volunteer parish nurse, Jette Mortensen has retired. We thank her for her dedication to his ministry that has meant so much to so many. Barbara Lee and Nancy Watkins will continue to serve as parish nurses reporting to the Service Board, which is responsible for our Health Ministry.
