Read Matthew 28: 18-20

And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.

WE’RE NEVER ALONE

Can you imagine standing close to Jesus when he said these words, "and remember I am with you always, to the end of the age"?  Would you have feelings of joy?  Extreme happiness?  Questions?  Concerns?

Before Jesus left the earth he first gave us a task.  He said, "Go make disciples of all nations.”  With this task came the most wonderful promise. “I will be with you always.” He did not abandon us to the evils of the world. Instead, his love is showered upon us every day, and he is with us always.

What a wonderful promise. God let his own Son die so we would never be alone. That is why every time I am scared I remember Jesus is with me. That is what we should always remember whenever we get scared. Even if we are just a little nervous we should think "Jesus is with me.  He will help and guide me.”

But we can’t forget he gave us a task, too: To go and make disciples of all nations. That is what we have been doing by sending out missionaries. They are groups of people devoted to spreading God’s word through the world.

For those of us who believe in God, I would say we have all been a missionary at one point.  We have all had a time where we have told or been told to remember that Jesus is with us always. That is what happened to me.

I was nervous one day because I had to stand up in front of a couple hundred people and sing a song. My friend came up to me and said, "Remember, Jesus is with you always and no matter what he will guide you through any problem.”  And that helped me.  I made it through without any problem.

Remember there is Good News:  God stands by us every second of every day. Thank you for reading this.

Thank you, Lord, for being with me and guiding me through good times and bad.  Continue to watch over me as you did to your Son, Jesus.
