ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS Reformation’s first Lenten Devotional booklet was published in 1990 as the brainchild of Lynda Carrier-Metz, who was not only the spark for the entire project, but who was also the first editor, writer-finder, format designer, and printing coordinator.  I helped out with the typing.  In those days, writers submitted manuscripts in longhand or – if we were very lucky – in typewritten form.  Every devotion had to be re-keyed, as we would say today, and it was a ponderous process.  I had a computer, which made the typing easier than using a Smith-Corona, but it took a long, long time to get it done.  Of course, none of us knew about sending material via the internet.  The scope of the project has changed greatly since then.  Now the Lenten Devotions are read by thousands of people across the country and around the world through cyberspace.  We continue to print and distribute paper copies to members and friends of Reformation, but the larger readership extends far beyond this congregation. Expansion of our outreach through the Internet can be credited solely to one individual – webmaster Mark Yeskie.  It was his idea to offer the Devotional on-line, and it has been his labor that has gotten it out there. So, Mark, thank you from Reformation and from all those people out there somewhere who are reading the Good News! on our web site. Thanks also to Pastor Sally Fahrenthold, who suggested many of the scriptures for meditation; to Pastor Tom, who has been so supportive of the Devotional ministry; to Michon, who helped in many ways this year; to Tom Cronk, who is our connection to the printer; to Lori East for help with the cover design; and to all the writers who were willing to share their stories. It is my prayer that this devotional booklet will be a blessing to all of you. Dallas Cronk , Editor
