And Jesus
said to them, "Follow me and I will make you fish for people."
What do these words of Jesus say?
They say that we need to find people, or "fish," who do not
know the Gospel.
And what does than mean?
We who know Jesus need to find people who do not know the good word.
Otherwise, we are not being fishermen for God. There would be a bunch of people who do not
know who God is. We need to tell them that he is our Savior and the Way, the Truth, and
the Light of our salvation.
Dear God, please help us to be good fishermen for you. Let us
spread the good news with the guidance and help of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
