Psalm 6 |
The Power of Prayer
I never really understood the Power of Prayer until I experienced it in my own life. I
was always taught to pray when I was growing up, and I did, when I wanted or needed
something in particular. But I never realized how important and powerful prayer would be
until about two years ago.
My health was uncertain and terminal breast cancer or leukemia were very real
possibilities in my future. I began praying as I had never prayed before. My family began
praying. My friends began praying. My church family began praying. My family's churches
began praying. My friend's churches began praying and it WORKED! The Lord answered all our
prayers. He gave me a new lease on life.
I have since changed the way I pray and the way I look at prayer. I pray everyday - not
just when I have a need or a want. I pray for others and their needs - not just for
myself. I believe truly in my heart that God does answer ALL prayers in one way or
another. I know that prayer changed my life and it will change everyone's life, if they
just do it. I know that praying to my Lord makes me feel great and makes my day. I hope
this will inspire you to what the Power of Prayer can do for you in your own life.
Prayer: O Lord, Our Father in Heaven, please let us all
experience what the Power of Prayer can do in each of our lives. Remind us that you are
always there to listen to us when no one else is around. Keep us steadfast in our faith
and love for you in this Lenten season. Amen. [Yesterday |Lenten Index | Tomorrow]
