February 25, 1997. Today's Bible verse is Matthew 7:1-12
Judging Others
Matthew 7: 1 - 12 has a very powerful message to
me that I use everyday of my life. This scripture says, "Do
not judge, or you too will be judged,"
This scripture applies to many peoples lives. Many
times people will see "different people" walking down
the street. Some of these people may have a mohawk or an eye
ring in their nose or eye. But we should not forget that this
is the way that they feel normal and happy. But this is the same
for these people when they take a look at us and think, "Why
don't they have green hair or holes in their jeans?"
An important lesson from this scripture is to treat
others as you want to be treated.
Prayer: Dear
Lord, help us to lead the life that you wish us to live. And
make sure that we judge people the way that you wish us to, not
how we think people should be judged, which is not to judge at
all. To ask, seek, and knock at everyone's door. Amen.
